it comes unbidden, without warning
like mt. vesuvius
it explodes
into a gajillion million
invisible pieces
i see myself fractured
splintered
red hot lava pouring down
unstoppable
it drowns anyone in its path
mercilessly
5 years of constant dripping
drop upon drop upon drop
no, make that 17 years of hell
or 22
or maybe it's just always
been like that
and i never really noticed
until one day
it became too much
and i
